THE YUFC WEBBY SHIELD

THE INAUGURAL YUFC Webby Memorial Shield Game started with a minute’s silence and ended with a presentation of the Memorial Shield to the Coutts Cougars by Webby’s family.

Congrats to Coutts on winning the 2026 naming rights on the plaque.

The YUFC Bears and our entire community are so proud to have shared this special day with Webby's family & friends.

Webby was a lifelong Yuraygir Bear, starting in the U7s back in 1995, and playing on and off for the club ever since, right through from the days of the junior Tucabia Bears. Webby was also an active, lifelong member of the Coutts Crossing soccer & cricket communities.

Fittingly, Webby scored two goals in what would be his final game for the Bears on July 4th vs the Yamba Breakers.

Webby was always welcoming, community-minded, generous, warm and funny; a solid mate to everyone at the Club, on and off the field. He leaves behind his cherished partner Asha and their young children Saffron, Neiko and Violet, and his loving stepson Kobe.

As a club and a community, we are proud to share this Annual Game to celebrate Webby
~ forever a true Bear.
